Description

The Metzenbaum Scissors STR, TC, 145mm are premium surgical scissors specifically designed for delicate tissue dissection and cutting in general surgery and various specialized procedures. Known for their precision and reliability, these scissors are a fundamental tool in operating rooms, surgical kits, and clinical environments where fine tissue handling is essential.

Featuring a straight blade design, the Metzenbaum Scissors are ideal for clean, controlled cuts along linear paths, making them especially useful for dissecting soft tissues, trimming internal structures, or cutting sutures in confined or straight-lined anatomical regions. Unlike standard surgical scissors, Metzenbaum scissors have a longer shank-to-blade ratio, providing better reach and accuracy in deeper surgical fields while minimizing trauma to surrounding tissue.

The cutting edges are reinforced with Tungsten Carbide (TC) inserts, offering exceptional hardness, sharpness, and wear resistance. Tungsten Carbide is far superior to regular stainless steel in maintaining a razor-sharp edge, enabling smooth, consistent cutting performance over extended periods of use. The TC blades reduce the need for frequent sharpening and ensure clean, precise cuts with minimal tissue damage, even after repeated sterilization.

At 145mm in length, the scissors provide balanced reach and control, suitable for both shallow and moderately deep surgical areas. The slim, tapered design improves visibility and access during delicate dissection, particularly in areas where space is limited.

Manufactured from high-quality surgical-grade stainless steel, these scissors are corrosion-resistant, biocompatible, and fully autoclavable, ensuring safety and durability in sterile environments. The robust construction combined with the ergonomic handle design provides a secure grip, enhancing surgeon comfort and minimizing hand fatigue during long procedures.
