Hylin Root Elevators Set

Hylin Elevator STR 4.5mm
Hylin Elevator Left 3mm
Hylin Elevator Right 3mm

Features of Each:

Hylin Elevator – STR (Straight)
• Design: Straight shank and working tip.
• Use: Ideal for applying vertical pressure along the tooth root.
• Application: Typically used in the anterior region or for upper teeth where straight access is possible.
• Advantage: Provides strong leverage and control in central positioning.

Hylin Elevator – Left
• Design: Shank and blade curve to the left.
• Use: Designed to access the right side of the mouth or for teeth whose roots curve in a way that the instrument fits better from the left-hand approach.
• Application: Helps luxate roots from the periodontal ligament in tighter posterior areas.
• Advantage: Better access to awkward angles or roots close to the sinus or bone.

Hylin Elevator – Right
• Design: Shank and blade curve to the right.
• Use: Designed to access the left side of the mouth or for teeth that benefit from a right-handed approach.
• Application: Same as the left version, but for the opposite side.
• Advantage: Enhances accessibility and control during extractions in posterior quadrants.

Description

General Features of Hylin Root Elevators set:
• Ergonomic handle: Ribbed and contoured for grip and comfort.
• Material: High-quality surgical stainless steel – durable and autoclavable.
• Functionality: Used to sever the periodontal ligament and gently elevate the tooth to loosen it prior to extraction.

Clinical Tip:

When working on upper molars, especially those near the maxillary sinus, use curved Hylin elevators (Left or Right) to minimize upward force and reduce the risk of pushing roots into the sinus.

General Guidelines
• Always use elevators gently to avoid excessive pressure that can fracture alveolar bone.

For Hylin STR:
• Use for straight root elevation, especially in single-rooted teeth.
• Effective when there’s clear vertical access.
• Insert between bone and root surface, then rotate to displace the root.

For Hylin Left/Right:
• Insert on the appropriate side of the tooth, matching the curve to the root direction.
• Use when angulation prevents straight elevator access.
• Great for posterior molars with divergent or curved roots.
• Use with rotational and lateral movements to sever the periodontal ligament fiber
